The Dirty Little Secret We’re Not Supposed to Know
Have you ever wondered how many laws and regulations are really necessary?
In 1900 the US had a few dozen federal laws. Today it’s estimated there are more than 4500 federal laws plus many thousands of additional federal regulations with criminal penalties for non-compliance.
Why so many today?
A civilized society needs only a few basic laws to function smoothly. All that’s required is to universally and impartially hold those who harm others through theft, fraud, negligence or aggression accountable for their actions.
So, again, why so many laws and regulations?
The answer, and the dirty little secret, is that the vast majority of laws and regulations exist to excuse the government and favored individuals, companies and other organizations from the basic laws of civilized society. They exist to give the ruling class and their friends formal permission to commit theft, fraud and aggression against the rest of us.
By setting down rules to follow as they commit these crimes, the rulers give their activities a false air of legitimacy. They create the illusion that their theft, fraud and aggression are okay because their actions follow the complex and confusing codified procedures they’ve crafted for themselves, thus fooling their victims into playing their game by their rules.
The IRS, for example, exists solely for the purpose of theft, or more precisely, extortion. If the law against theft was impartially applied, the IRS with all its thousands of pages of confusing and complicated regulations would be eliminated, and all those who work for it and benefit from it would be held accountable for their crimes.
Another example is fractional reserve lending which exists to allow banks to loan out and collect fees and interest on up to 10 times more money than they actually have in deposits, thus effectively permitting them to counterfeit that currency, and thereby commit fraud. If the basic law against fraud were impartially applied, fractional reserve lending would be eliminated along with the mass of regulations that detail exactly how bankers are permitted to engage in this crime.
Choose whatever laws or regulations you wish and you will find that the vast majority of them exist not to hold those who harm others accountable for their crimes but to enable a ruling class and their friends to commit crimes with impunity, and thereby to increase their wealth, power and control over us.
The Maze
The mass of laws and regulations has created a maze in which it’s easy to become trapped and lost. At every turn as we wander the maze there’s a toll to be paid to those who created it, maintain it, and now sit at its center. The purpose of this maze is not to benefit society but to capture and subjugate the rest of us to those who desire unearned wealth and power.
The maze is built on gross materialism. The more materialistic our focus, the deeper into the maze we’re drawn, the more imprisoned and exploited we become, and the harder it is to find our way back out and to free ourselves. The first step toward liberation is to recognize the trap into which we’ve been lured.
As awareness of the true purpose behind this maze of laws and regulations grows, the elite who benefit from this system are becoming ever more fearful that we will refuse any longer to be their victims. The ruling class is becoming desperate to eliminate our capacity to resist their aggressive control. By limiting and eventually eliminating our ability to possess defensive weapons, they hope to make their control over us complete and unbreakable.
The recent shooting in Oregon, as with previous similar events, whether orchestrated by elements in the government or not, has been seized upon as an opportunity to further their plan for our complete subjugation. Defeating their plan depends on increasing the public awareness of their true agenda.
