Put aside whether or not you believe in man-made global warming for a second, and ask yourself if, even as he calls once again for carbon taxes, Bill Gates believes in man-made global warming.
It’s that time of year again, you see. Billionaire Bill Gates is once more calling for carbon taxes as the only way to stop the dreaded climate change.
Via the Daily Caller:
Gates, who made his billions in free markets, declared that “there’s no fortune to be made” in private-sector attempts to lower CO2 levels.
“Even if you have a new energy source that costs the same as today’s and emits no CO2, it will be uncertain compared with what’s tried-and-true and already operating at unbelievable scale and has gotten through all the regulatory problems,” Gates told The Atlantic.
As such, the Microsoft mogul wants to force high taxes on carbon dioxide, a naturally occurring chemical compound.
“Without a substantial carbon tax, there’s no incentive for innovators or plant buyers to switch,” Gates, a vendor of computer software and videogames, claimed.
Back in 2013, the billionaire was talking about not if we get a carbon tax, but when. In fact, he was already talking about what “we” (meaning the elite, megacorporations, and government cronies) should spend it on: “innovation”.
Speaking of just such “innovation,” Gates is making the rounds again to promote the fact that he’s invested $2 billion in green energy innovation through his Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Why, what a big-hearted philanthropist who cares so much about the grave danger to the planet of the coming man-made climate change apocalypse… What are we, monsters? Why haven’t we been paying our carbon taxes and saving the planet already??
And you could almost buy it, too, if it wasn’t coming from the guy whose Gates Foundation is also invested in a wide array of the world’s largest oil and gas companies to the tune of $1.4 billion:
The companies include BP, responsible for the Deepwater Horizon disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, Anadarko Petroleum, which was recently forced to pay a $5bn environmental clean-up charge and Brazilian mining company Vale, voted the corporation with most “contempt for the environment and human rights” in the world clocking over 25,000 votes in the Public Eye annual awards.
The city of Seattle was recently the latest in a string of groups who have called on Gates to put his money where his mouth is and divest from fossil fuels to financially send the oil and gas companies the message he keeps telling us all he wants to send the world on the climate.
Gates, however, has made his lame excuses for not doing so time and again and said “nope”.
But but? The deadly carbon! The rising sea levels! The melting Arctic ice! The drowning polar bears!!
And that’s where the hypocrite shows his true colors on climate change. Obviously he doesn’t even buy his own b.s., so why should everyone else pay for it?
But we just have to institute a carbon tax spent on “innovation,” the kind he has invested billions in…
Right…
Then again, here’s a picture of him drinking water from recycled human poop:
Another “innovation” he’s invested in.
Where’s the rule that says that just because someone has a whole lot of money, we all have to listen to him again???

well bill, how PRECISELY will a carbon tax STOP THE DREADED CLIMATE CHANGE “which used to be called global warming but was such a failure they changed the meme to climate change”
