Before the pair could get in a pickup and leave the area, Douglas reportedly came to the house on his motorcycle, jumped over a fence and approached them.
Collins said that an argument between the three escalated, and the man attempted to choke the step-daughter, who was sitting inside the vehicle.
When Douglas allegedly turned his attention to the other woman, who was outside of the vehicle, he was shot in the chest by the step-daughter.
