this does not explain why their is suddenly a large shadow. Is their some sort of wall or object creating this shadow? If the earth was flat the whole earth would experience light at the same time at some point.
Why? Does your flashlight light up your whole yard or just where you point it? We live on a big flat earth. The sun is 3000 miles away and only lights up half of it at a time very similar to the yin yang symbol.
Regardless if you don’t want to believe in science or facts at least there TONS of irrefutable evidence supporting a round earth. If the world was flat there would be tons of proof at the edges. According to FET you should be able to view the entire length of the Earth from one end to the other. That would be extrememly easy to do with a good enough telescope. But of course you wouldn’t be able to provide that kind of proof! I would love to hear the reasons why other than claims there’s literally ZERO tangible evidence.
There is far more evidence of a flat earth than round. The only “proof” you have is the fake pictures that NASA has shown you. They are FAKE and we have no actual photos or videos which means you have been duped.
So why is there no video or photo evidence of the edges of a flat earth? It should be extremely easy to provide proof right at the edge?

Simple Trigonometry Can Validate & Prove The Distance Of The Sun.
Trigonometry is a good way at finding a missing side or angle in a triangle.

In the video below just add an equilateral 60 degree triangle to the image of the suns rays and rotate the triangle and you can easily determine the depth and angle of the suns rays is not 93 million miles away, but the sun in fact is only 3000 miles away.

Not only is it impossible to build a working model of a globe earth with water and land that can spin at 1,000 mph and keep the water on the globe, but it is also impossible to be spinning at 1,000 mph without facing a 1,000 mph headwind when going in the opposite direction. The air is moving at the same speed as the land. And we see it accelerate as it moves toward the equator. And we see it decelerate as it moves away.
That acceleration –from friction– is traced by the path of the air mass. It drifts west as it moves toward the equator, until it matches the speed of the land and sea beneath it.
It drifts east as it moves away from the equator. Because it’s moving faster than the surface beneath it. Until it slows down.
And that spin energy produces the jet streams.
And the spin of the Earth produces a 13 mile high equatorial bulge. Sea level is 13 miles higher at the equator, than it is at the North Pole.

Jango, of course we cannot build a model globe like that. Models don’t have atmospheres or any significant gravity. Think beyond the 3rd grade level man.
Lifels – your point is well-made and well-taken. I was mistaken about the time dynamics of the Erastothenes demonstration. However, it is also clear that his observations were based on a pre-existing assumption the earth is spherical, whereas you come to different, but theoretically legitimate, results when you assume these observed shadows occur on a flat plane.

A twenty four hour time lapse series could easily, easily be faked. It would be nothing, for movie industry computers.
A thirteen mile equatorial bulge in sea level can be measured by widely known, widely used techniques.
The Coriolis effect –seen in air masses moving toward or away from the equator– is observed by plotting weather data on a weather map. If you don’t trust satellite pics.
PeoplePower if you can’t see the fallacies in your video, here they are:
1. The picture is art work and not a real photo. Those spots of light on the surface of the sea should tell you that. To get that angle, the Sun would have to be parked out over the ocean, and not above you.
2. In your fake picture, the beams of light originate above the Sun. They converge at a spot above the Sun.
3. Light does get refracted by the atmosphere. Rainbows prove that. And the huge size of the Moon sometimes, not always, when it is low in the sky, proves that. And beams of light shining through breaks in clouds may or may not be direct sunlight. They can be light reflected from clouds, or refracted through clouds.
But you will never, ever see in real life what you see in that fake picture in that deliberately dishonest video.

1. The nature of “gravity” is debatable, but the effects in the atmosphere are apparent. You can see air pressure is greater at the surface. And it declines with altitude.
If the air didn’t have enough weight to stick to the planet, it wouldn’t have enough weight to compress the air at the surface. And you can see it DOES compress the air at the surface.
2. When people take pictures, they don’t shoot 180 degrees, or 360 degrees, from the subject of the picture. And if one is making fake pictures, one could make fake 180 degree or 360 degree shots, no problem.
3. The video is incorrect. The US knew we couldn’t get through the radiation belts, when JFK announced his moon landing goal. The fake filming was planned in the mid-60s under President Johnson. The big plaster-of-paris moon model was built. The cranes to dangle astronauts were built.
The first fake flight (around the Moon) was December 1968, under Johnson. The fake landings were filmed…video-recorded i should say…from 1969 to 1972 under Nixon. But planned earlier in the 60s.

The Moon’s spin is synchronized with its orbit around our common center of mass. It’s like a ball, tied to a string. Swing the ball around, and the same side always faces you.

When presented with a bunch of facts/arguments that prove the earth is in fact NOT round, they conveniently ignore them all, and as soon as they find one fluke in the Flat Earth theory, they’re all over it. How come we can take pictures of Pluto, but we need composites of thousands of pictures to get a ”picture” of Earth?
Not to mention that whole ordeal with the thing where nasa put out whatever it was of the moon passing earth, and the clouds didn’t move.
Put egos aside for a minute, and look at the facts. Try to prove the heliocentric model. Actually prove. I don’t think you’ll be able to achieve that.
Maybe people are afraid of ACTUALLY being in the center of the universe. Maybe they’re scared of it, because it adds credibility to God actually existing.

Yeah, I forgot to mention… don’t ”prove it” to me. Prove it to yourself. Really prove it. If you believe you’ve done that, congratulations.
I was more trying to make the point of the hypocrisy going around in such debates. The ignoring of a bunch of facts and putting one fact that works to your benefit on a pedestal. (Not you specifically. You actually seem very reasonable, articulate, and calm. Kudos for that)
I would appreciate it, however, if people could put aside their beliefs of the nature of this world, and be kind to each other. Or not put them aside, but just not let them be deal braker. So what if someone doesn’t agree with you that the earth is round (or flat)? You can still be kind to each other (again, not talking to you specifically.)
Everyone could learn something from LifeIs. Not about the ball earth, but about the way he communicates his belief.

HERE ARE THE FACTS:
Both the ball earth and the flat earth theories have a lot of valid points. Using ad hominems to ”prove” your point is just utterly ridiculous and childish.
You can’t cherry pick things and claim you’ve discovered the truth.
We shouldn’t be arguing about this anyway. Debating? Sure. But even when it comes to debating, I’m certain there are more important topics. But oh well, that’s the nature of BIN, I suppose.
This is a joke right? I’m as big a fan of satire as the next guy but if this is satire it’s so artfully well done it makes Colbert look like a mime. But if this sad little narrator is serious about suggesting the world is actually flat then I have to facepalm the entire planet. I personally know more than a dozen people who have been to the Antarctic and none of them got there via the cruise services he is promoting. I have edited video from the region, that includes flyovers. This is just so ridiculously sad and ignorant it makes me want to cry.
