DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – Police said a DeKalb County homeowner fought back against two intruders inside his house Wednesday and shot them both, leaving one dead nearby. The homeowner told FOX 5 News his mother suffered from a heart attack after the invasion.
It happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of Eastwood Drive near Welika Drive. Police said the resident, 28-year-old Tim Hernandez, tousled with the burglars, retrieved his weapon, and opened fire on them.
