The best thing they could do is let the market discover value, as it used to. All they’re doing, with all the manipulation, is making phony markets that have turned investing into gambling. Part of what crashes a system is when people no longer see truth, no longer see something that makes sense you can be confident in, no longer see truth, even in the numbers. Who wants to invest, trying to figure out what destructive monkey business is next that makes no sense, that has no future in it? For example, is growth stock buybacks, or smoke and mirrors, with a sick economy beneath?
