A video was released last week showing the deadly shootout between two Troy, New York, police officers and a carjacking suspect.
The incident occurred on August 22, 2015. After nearly 30 gunshots were exchanged, Thaddeus Faison, who was found to have PCP in his system, was killed and two officers – Joshua Comitale and Chad Klein – were both left with extensive injuries from which they are still recovering.
“There’s nothing to hide here,” said Troy Police Chief John Tedesco.
City Council President Carmella Mantello said the officers, who were cleared of any wrongdoing, “did everything by the book.”
