The issue here is that there are certain duties that all agents of We The People must follow and that is expressed within The Constitution of the United States of America in republican form and that is to protect the private, God-given, and unalienable Rights of We The People.
Even the Supreme Court has ruled that We The People are “Sovereigns without subjects.”
What is going on here is that people like redgrashoper have no clue how easy it is to abandon the republic and traverse over to a democracy. Let’s say you let someone borrow your car and they have drugs on them and slip the drugs between your seats, then you go through one of these checkpoints and volunteer your consent to allow the officer to search your car, not only have you abandoned your rights, the officers are not going to care if the drugs are yours or not, they are more concerned with making a “felony arrest” and dragging your ass to jail. The courts aren’t going to care if you are innocent or not because the judge, prosecutor, and every agent in that court profit off of your demise insofar that even the very case # is a security or a CUSIP # that they trade and finance their private retirement accounts through the Court Registry Investment Service (CRIS).
No matter if you are a good citizen or not, you have a duty to protect your own rights and to stand upon such rights, yet, the vast majority of the people out here do not understand that there are two different political systems (governments) operating here in America with one being the Republic, which all offices are vacant at this moment, and the other being a Democracy. This Democracy that people unknowingly volunteer their consent and attach themselves to through some form of subscription like an application (such as giving one’s consent, or filling out a form) or by a license, registration, residence, social security number, and a billion other ways people can be tricked into agreeing to contract as a trustee for an artificial person’s name that looks like our name and is spelled like our name but it denotes a federal corporate citizen. One cannot be in the Republic and in a Democracy at the same time and if you attach yourselves to a Democracy, you leave or abandon the land of the Republic.
Now, when the people wake up to what is going on and start learning how contracts work in regards to a “traverse” which if one does so, they have created an estoppel against themselves. If you know your rights as We The People of the republic and know how to stay in peace, not argue, not complain, not volunteer one’s consent to any type of contract, not stay silent about their rights as the people are trained via the Miranda v Arizona (1966) case for being silent about your rights is considered an agreement to what the other is doing, and most importantly, by not threatening the agents. You cannot win by making any threats even though these agents will lie, cheat, and steal and use threats against us. Even judges do this.

He should have said to the cops “I’m here to make a video for YouTube about how to deal with police checkpoints. Basically I’m going to make money off of watching you do things you shouldn’t, and am here to waste your time.” They might have just got rid of him.

The check point was legal. The driver consented to being temporarily detained just like all the other drivers being stopped when he had the common sense to stop his vehicle at the check point. Operating a motor vehicle is a privilege not a right. Apparently this driver has never had a loved one killed or maimed by a DUI operated vehicle. These cops were only doing their job. Yes, there are some cops that go to far but the majority are doing there job to protect us. What’s the first number this driver will dial when he’s in an emergency? You got it! 911. He’s just another hypocrite trying to get 2 minutes of fame and he failed miserably.
The checkpoint was not legal. That was a blatant violation of the 4th amendment. Why dont you read the constitution once in a while you blithering moron. They do this because we let them get away with it.

So what did police internal affairs have to say when you reported the Constitutional violations?
In ANY free and fair society there is a reasonable expectation of cooperation with the police. This was a DUI checkpoint. oIt is reasonab le to expect that one needs to be examined as to whether they have in fact been drinking. This includes answering questions about whether one is legal drinking age (contrary to what the video maker believes), and leaving the car for balance checks and breathalyzer tests – as opposed to common roadside checks.
I’m sorry to have to say this, but far too many of these supposed “harrassment” videos start with poor behavior by the citizen. If after cooperation the officer shows aggressive or unduly violernt behavior THEN you have a true video worth going viral…

This guy doesn’t know the law. You do need to ID yourself and follow directions of Police. You don’t have to answer anything except name and date of birth. The cop is arrogant and has an attitude but so does the driver. Being stopped for a DUI check is legal so not following instructions is against the law.
