A Couple of RTs (4-3-16) about Syria/Assad (and Assad’s quite “right on in general” view of “the West”)

(Before It's News)

syria_map_2Bashar_Assad_1These are a couple of RTs that rather “popped out”. I’d have to say, after several years now of “awakening” to “the West”, meaning the (take your pick) [colonializers, false-flaggers, color-revolutionizers, non-supporters-of-other-countries’-sovereignty, corporatizers of the greed paradigm, non-tellers-of-true-intentions, two-faced-liars, funders of terrorism for their own benefit (add your own)], it’s actually refreshing to hear someone call them all out, and tell it like it is. Putin is one example, Bashar Assad is another. And I was very impressed when I read his comments about honoring another country’s self-determination:

“And when choosing a plan of action to resolve the crisis it is necessary that it meets the customs and traditions of the nation, its history and its essential aspirations. The solution cannot come from overseas.”

The USA CORP’s treatment of the Hawaiian Kingdom is a great example of not doing that. Titles and a few highlights are below.

West is ‘dishonest,’ pursues policy detached from intl law – Assad

“”The most important lesson we have learned, but I suppose we knew it all along, is that the West is not honest. Western countries are dishonest,” Assad stressed. The US, EU and their allies “are pursuing a policy far removed from the principles of international law and the United Nations” and because of that “it is impossible to rely upon the West to solve any issue,” he said.

“…every leader “should be able to choose friendly states that will stand by him during crises,” Assad said, hinting at the support his country received from Russia. He stressed that during the war Syria “endured inhumane suffering,” which he wouldn’t wish on any other state.

“The Syrian president said that in time of crisis every leader must realize that “the people are the country’s defenders. And when choosing a plan of action to resolve the crisis it is necessary that it meets the customs and traditions of the nation, its history and its essential aspirations. The solution cannot come from overseas,” he stated.”

Obama ditched CIA plan to topple Assad in 2012 – former agent

” CIA not only backed the idea of arming and training Syrian rebels to pressure President Bashar Assad but also developed a detailed plan aimed for ousting the Syrian leader, a former CIA agent revealed in an interview with US media. The White House and CIA leaders “had made it clear from the beginning that the goal of our task force was to find ways to remove President Assad from office,” Laux told NBC.

“Democratic presidential candidate and the former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, also sided with Petraeus in White House debates, supporting in particular the idea of CIA secretly arming the Syrian rebels, as she said in her memoir “Hard Choices” published in 2015.

“However, the final plan that contained many of Laux’s suggestions was eventually declined by US President Barack Obama… Later, Obama authorized another plan that envisaged arming and training Syrian rebels.”
