(Before It's News)

Karl with In-Range TV tests the popular trope that the old German Luger, with its complicated toggle-action, was a jam-a-matic when used in the muddy conditions of trench warfare.

Of course the Luger wasn’t actually German, but was designed by Austrian Georg Luger and adopted first by the Swiss army in May 1900, though it went on to gain its fame in the army of the Kaiser. Officially replaced by the Walther P-38 in the Second World War, the P.08 has gotten a second-hand bad wrap since then as being too over-complicated for rough work under field conditions.

Which Karl puts to the test.
