At a campaign rally in Delaware three weeks ago, presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump chose to attack American outsourcing by affecting a cruel caricature of an Indian accent, to the delight of his supporters. Yet his apparent disdain for the people of the world’s second most populous nation doesn’t seem to faze a right-wing Indian group that is now praying — yes, literally praying — for Trump’s victory.
A new video released by Reuters captures members of Hindu Sena, a Hindu nationalist political organization, holding a spiritual ritual in the streets of New Delhi, asking Hindu gods to carry the New York City real estate mogul to victory this November. To that end, they lit ritual fires and anointed Trump’s forehead (on a poster alongside statues of Hindu deities) with a tilaka, a Hindu spiritual marking.
“Going by the statements of Donald Trump, we believe he will be the lone protector of mankind,” Vishnu Gupta, Hindu Sena’s president, told Reuters.
It’s not difficult to figure out why right-wing Indians are supporting the Republican candidate from half a world away. Trump’s incendiary comments on Islamist extremists and Muslim immigrants echo the sentiments of India’s Hindu nationalist movement, the more radical factions of which have been linked to linked to lethal violence against the country’s Muslim minority.

Republican frontrunner Donald Trump may be facing a lot of hostility back in US but a section in India is praying for his win in the race to the White House.
The Hindu Sena, a right wing group, performed a hawan (religious ceremony) at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Wednesday to pray for his victory in the US presidential elections.
Trump, who has emerged as the frontrunner to be the Republican Party’s nominee for the presidential polls, has had a controversial run during the primaries due to his views on women and minorities in the US.
Activists of the Hindu Sena smeared a photo of Trump with vermillion amid religious chants at the havan at the Jantar Mantar.
The ceremony started at 12.30 pm — a mahurat decided by priests over two weeks ago — where posters of Trump were put up to evoke the gods to help in his victory. Along with pictures of Hindu gods Shiva and Hanuman, were pictures of Trump smiling with captions, ‘We support Trump’.
“The whole world is screaming against Islamic terrorism, and even India is not safe from it,” said Vishnu Gupta, founder of the Hindu Sena nationalist group. “Only Donald Trump can save humanity.”
“We want Donald Trump to win the presidential polls. He has promised to uproot Islamic terror and we support this ideology,” said Gupta.
Gupta believes that it is only Trump, who has the “guts to stand by his promises of eradicating Islamic terrorism”.
“I have been a follower of his speeches and the world needs a strong leader like him to be able to counter Islamic terror groups. Especially for a country like ours, which has bitter relations with our neighbours, we need a strong anti-terror policy to keep the terrorists at bay,” he said.
Gupta is also planning to organise a march outside the American Embassy, later this month, so that all US-based Indians support Trump in the race for president.
“The world has become a single unit now, and I want our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to support and campaign for Trump,” said Gupta.
Sunil Kumar, a member of the group, said that the aim of the one-hour hawan was to ward off terror groups such as ISIS, and al-Qaida.

Obama’s State Lottery Is 666 Day After Win
The winning lottery number for Obama’s home state of Illinos was 666 on the day after his win for the White House.
Nothing is a mistake with God. Barack Hussein Obama may not be the anti-christ, but he most certainly is so. He certainly has the spirit of anti-christ. I don’t approve of the lottery. I’ve never played it, but God will speak to people on their own level and in their terms. He is giving the signs to those who have ears to hear.
The number 666 has been so stigmatized in our culture that most everyone knows it is a mark of evil. We should listen, God is trying to tell us something.
