Brits Vote for Brexit! UK to Leave EU! Watch David Cameron’s “Emotional” Resignation Speech!
It’s a situation that will almost have you believing that not every vote everywhere is totally rigged.
Amazingly, and despite a random apocalyptic weather event that caused massive flooding and forced some polling stations to close, making it much harder for people to turn out, Brits voted for the UK to leave the EU in what turned out to be a pretty close race, 52% Brexit to 48% remain.
They did it. The United Kingdom is leaving the European Union.
And then… as if it couldn’t get better… David Cameron resigned:
“I think the country requires fresh leadership,” he explained after losing. He cracked up a bit at the end there… (Hey, that reminds me, Hillary and Obama were against Brexit and urged voters to stay in the EU too, can Cameron take them with him?)
The people voted to leave despite the fact that Britons were warned everything from apocalypse, to global warming, to financial collapse would happen if they voted to leave.
WAPO is already reporting that now that the UK is leaving the EU, Sweden, Denmark, France, Hungary, Greece and the Netherlands may follow.
Wow. Maybe the times really are a’changin’.
