If a plane follows the sunset and travels along a fixed latitude, returning to its origin, it also confirms the roundness of the Earth.

They always just bring up another point and ignore the fact altogether. i do not claim to know everything there is to know about flat earth or anything else for that matter. i learn new things every day, on all kinds of different topics. when i find i am wrong, i change my opinions. as i did with the globe.

The moon does not give off it’s own light. The light from the sun hits the moon, which makes it bright.

I think you’re lending too much value to belief.
Very often — almost always I would dare say — belief held by man rests upon nothing but opinion.
Flat earthers are in fact lovers of their own opinion because in their minds opinion = truth. Also, once untrained minds become committed to a premise, it is nothing short of a miraculous event which pushes them off of their stance. And for some of them, the harder they are pushed by us makes it ever more likely they will go to their graves believing as they do today. That’s why, in theological debates, it is best not to push the obstinate too hard. By pushing too hard with valid counter-arguments, we might become instrumental in cementing their error into place. Contrary to what the flat earthers think, this isn’t a theological issue so I’m not very concerned with us producing rigorous pushback into their faces.
You put actual proper thought behind developing your beliefs RAIN, so you value your beliefs as being legitimate (or at least being logically defensible and supportable with reason and evidence). Don’t make the mistake of thinking the average man’s beliefs are of the same grade, of the same purity as your own.
That’s how I can defend these hooples as sincere. It’s really no defense at all. My defense in this case, rightly understood, amounts to an elaborate insult.
When considering the mentality of the average man, belief founded in nothing but opinion is not the exception to the rule. It is the rule. A man has to become well practiced in the art of thinking before he learns to disdain even his own opinion.

How can the PBS video of the laser/boat/curvature experiment be invalid without “proving” it to be fraudulent while expecting everyone to accept your video evidence on face value ? There are two types of people that believe flat earth. 1) Those who have spacial and perspective disorders and can’t understand how things work. 2) Those who have not personally experienced the curvature of the earth.

Why is it that when I see a satellite pass over from one side of the earth to the other and disappear why does it take till the next evening for me to see it again? If the earth was flat would we not see it go in circles? or even square shaped orbit? Flat earth is BS!

Start at one point on the equator, head east and stay on the equator and you will end up right where you started. If you head north and stay straight you will also end where you started.
