That booing didn’t stop there. Cruz’s wife, Heidi, had to be escorted off the floor, and the stories are flying in on GOP officials expressing fury at Cruz for refusing to endorse Trump.
But this is Newt Gingrich. The guy can handle a situation. With barely a hitch in his step, Gingrich spun the story. As he put it, Cruz’s “vote your conscience” only applied to Trump, because no person of good conscience could vote for Hillary Clinton.
