There’s no doubt that when you watched Marty Mcfly put on a the “Power Laces” Nike footwear in Back To The Future II your immediate reaction was, “Wow, that’s so cool. I want some!”
In the movie, Marty traveled to October 2015, and though the shoe didn’t make it to market on its predicted date in the real 2015, it was only off by about a year.
This Christmas season Nike will reveal the inaugural version of its Hyper Adapt line of footwear and now you, too, can be just like Marty McFly.
The shoe has a built-in engine that uses algorithms to adjust to your foot and automatically tightens when a heel pressure sensor is depressed. The wearer can make adjustments to tighten or loosen the fit. According to Nike, the Hyper Adapt 1.0 will work for about two weeks on a single charge and includes two magnetic induction charging ‘pucks’ that can be attached to the shoe for recharging.
