For the last 2 years a group called “The Yes California Independence Campaign” has been quietly meandering across the State. Now with the election of Donald Trump and the numerous backlash, the latest regarding immigration and plans to deport millions of undocumented immigrants, the conversation surrounding “Calexit” has started to gain momentum.

According to Red State online “The California Secretary of State’s office announced that the group could begin collecting signatures on Thursday.The group needs 585,407 signatures from registered voters over the next 180 days to qualify for the ballot.”
