The Washington Square Arch has a rich history being modeled after the Arc de Triomphe (itself modeled on the Arch of Titus) and the World Trade Center Towers can be seen dead center through the archway. The towers were built intentionally to be seen under this archway. David Rockefeller served imminent domain on the interfering buildings to push through their construction in this exact location.

Interesting, so the arch enemy of good is known as Satan, and the Twin Towers where built and demolished deliberately in direct alignment to be seen through the Washington Square Arch. These dirty deeds where concise and done in a highly orchestrated and ritualized fashion.
