OWL LOVE

At Zoo Atlanta, a milky eagle owl owlet hatched on December 24. It takes about 48 hours for the chick to completely make it out of the egg. So cute!

SQUIRREL RESCUE

After a small grey squirrel had become stranded in a pond in Watford, Herts, three fire engines arrived with a ladder to help save the rodent. The little squirrel managed to make it’s way up the ladder and onto dry land.

In Switzerland’s Zoo Basel, the rarest animal at the zoo has given birth. A Somali wild ass foal was born on Dec. 27, 2012. The baby, named Jana, is noted by her keepers as being extraordinarily lively. She is gorgeous!
