Puppy Bowl IX Will Add Hedgehogs to the Mix
The Puppy Bowl is back! Now in its ninth year, America’s favorite sporting event featuring baby dogs is set to continue its tradition of injecting a healthy dose of cuteness that is otherwise absent from the gridiron on Super Bowl Sunday. Bigger and more popular then ever, the Puppy Bowl is planning some exciting additions for this year’s event, according to TheWrap.com. Chief among them: hedgehog cheerleaders!

But don’t worry, cat lovers. The hedgehogs aren’t taking the place of the cute kittens who perform the Puppy Bowl halftime show. Those precious felines will still be in full effect. Other new features this year will include on-field “in your face” cams, and off-field footage of puppies in little puppy hot tubs. And you said you didn’t believe they could make the Puppy Bowl any cuter. Shame on you.

Puppy Bowl IX will air on Feb. 3 – Super Bowl Sunday, duh – at 3 p.m. Eastern and Pacific. We know that some of you are, like us, more excited about this than the actual Super Bowl, even if you can’t say so to the football fan in your life.
