Kevin Bauman is a Denver based photographer who is specialized in architectural, interior and industrial photography. Kevin is basically known for his own style documentary projects such as 100 Abandoned Houses. Some of the pictures of this documentary project have been presented here.
Here we are talking about only his 100Abandoned Houses documentary series. His photography has been used by wide variety of architectural and interior design clients as well as industrial and commercial clients and has also appeared in numerous publications.
His abandoned houses project has begun 10 years ago. He started developing this project in mid 90s in Detroit to show and satisfy himself about the perplexing condition of his home town. Half of this town’s are abandoned, most of the people had left their houses alone and sad. Now, these houses are in their worst condition which is an overwhelming situation.
These pictures of abandoned houses are very mesmerizing. Once a city of almost 2 million citizens, Detroit has since lost over half its population over the last 60 years. The current count is less than 800,000. Many homes are filled with emptiness, as well as sadness.
In these series the writer named it 100 Abandoned Houses as 100 reflects more but in reality the number of emptied houses is more than 12,000.
