I think they know we have just about annihilated ourselves
so they are doing the preliminary sighting of the goods before the auction to see who scores the earth as the highest bidder (or the best aggressor).
Don’t think they are aggressors as they could have shut us down a long time ago with such superior technology.

I imagines a book story line around that idea. We were the live entertainment. Long story shortened- we did not like it, it made Earth a zoo and the people inmates.

Cylons most likely.
Which ones? The ’79 alien race or the remake “man-made” ones? Personally I prefer the original BSG, with the remake you just wished the cylons would hurry up and win. The remake was just a thinly veiled commentary on modern terrorism mixed with occultism.
ONCE, just ONCE, could some possibly post a clear picture? One that is not severely overzoomed and highly pixelated, or shaking like a drug addict jonesing for the next fix. JUST ONCE…….
