(N.Morgan) I have found a collection of places that will just blow your mind! They look like something straight out of Alice In Wonderland! Truly psychedelic and absolutely beautiful! I was just amazed by the splendor and beauty of these places. Some here in the US ,others abroad. So, here we go on our trippy journey!
1Danxia Landform Geological Park (China)
These unreal looking mountains are apart of the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park in China. The layers are different colored sandstone and minerals pressed together over 24 million years to make these astounding mountains.
2Abandoned Mines Beneath Yekaterinburg (Russia)
Nope, you’re not on anything, these crazy looking salt caves do exsist. These photos were taken in the abandoned mines beneath Yekaterinburg, Russia. Layers of carnallite – a mineral used in fertilizers – band the tunnel walls, producing these technicolor masterpieces. Think a subterranean version of China’s stunning rainbow mountains.
3 Kamchatka Ice Caves (Russia)
These out of this world looking ice caves are located on the Kamchatka Peninsula of Russia. The almost kilometer long tunnel was formed by a hot water spring flowing beneath the glacial ice fields on the flanks of the nearby Mutnovsky volcano.
4 Tulip Fields in Lisse (The Netherlands)
Now I have posted these tulip fields before, but they are just too incredible to leave out! The tulip season begins in March and lasts until August with several shows held across the country, but the flowers are undoubtedly at their most spectacular during April. Just stunning!
5Dead Vlei in Namib-Naukluft Park (Namibia)
These trees look like a Van Gogh creation! Due to the nature of the lighting in the frame, the photograph appears almost like a painting.
6Caño Cristales (Colombia)
Caño Cristales is a Colombian river located in the Serrania de la Macarena province of Meta. This outrageously beautiful river is known as”The River of Five Colors” or “The Liquid Rainbow,” and is referred to as the most beautiful river in the world due to its striking colors.
7Lake Hillier (Australia)
I always think of this as the Pepto Bismal river, the pink, weird color reminds me of the medicine. From a distance, Lake Hillier of Australia’s Recherche Archipelago looks like a swath of solid bubble-gum pink. Upon closer inspection, the color takes on a more watery, translucent quality, but remains unmistakably pink.
8Hills of Ajka (Hungary)
This amazing photo appears to be photo shopped to make the trees look 2 different colors, only this is real, not fakery! However, this phenomenon occurred due to a devastating industrial accident, in the hills of western Hungary.
9Fly Geyser in the Black Rock Desert, Nevada (US)
This magnificent wonder is located on private property within the million-acre Black Rock Desert, Fly Geyser, this is not a natural phenomenon.
10“Door to Hell” in Derweze (Turkmenistan)
This is one of those locations that is just incredible and keeps one mesmerized by its frightening beauty. The giant hole of fire in the heart of the Karakum Desert is not the aftermath of an attack on Earth launched from outer space. It is a crater made by geologists more than 40 years ago, and the flames within have been burning ever since. Welcome to Hell.
Stunning pictures, thanks for posting
