Something is Happening to Ubuntu 12.04
Eka Orlov
The new distro of ubuntu has come out (April 2012 Version of Ubuntu computer operating system).
I thought the LTS (long term support) version came out every four years, but this year it came out 2 years. But no matter, it is here!
Ubuntu is similar to Microsoft Windows and MacIntosh Apple programs in that it supplies the mechanics behind the computer, which allows you to write letters, do e-mail, paint pictures, listen to audio, watch videos, go online, all the normal stuff.
I usually have 7 home pages. But I guess now I am down to one, because it’s just not as fast as it used to be. And, oddly enough, I have trouble getting certain web pages lately, mostly Christian sites.
I would rate ubuntu 12.04 LTS as being substantially less capable of doing things: you can’t set the colors on your monitor, there’s no more screensaver, and it’s infinitely slower at everything! I seem to have trouble accessing certain web pages as well.
Since I’ve gotten no response from ubuntu I thought I’d just mention it here. It sure looks like they found a way to monitor ubuntu and Firefox users a little better – for them anyway!
