While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the good people of Israel fear for their country’s survival every single day, President Obama continues to negotiate with and defend Iran, a country that wants nothing more than for the Jewish state to not exist.
Israel’s Channel 10 News diplomatic commentator Ben Caspit said that “jaws dropped” around the studio after hearing Obama’s remarks in defense of Vladimir Putin’s decision to green-light the sale of an S-300 missile system to the Iranian government.
Obama claimed the sale was “slated to happen in 2009,” but was held off due to his request. He then remarked, “And I’m, frankly, surprised that it held this long, given that they were not prohibited by sanctions from selling these defensive weapons.”
Netanyahu reacted to Obama’s show of empathy by saying, “Israel views with utmost gravity the supply of S-300 missiles from Russia to Iran, especially at a time when Iran is stepping up its aggression in the region and around the borders of the State of Israel.”
