April 24th is Tax Freedom Day for 2015.
It marks when we have finished paying our contributions to Uncle Obama and his counterparts in state and local government.
Let me explain how it is calculated…
According to the Tax foundation, which invented the holiday, Tax Freedom Day takes all federal, state, and local taxes, and divides them by the nation’s income.
In 2015, Americans will pay 3.28 TRILLION dollars in federal taxes. Guess how much more we pay in state and local taxes?
