Earth Day, much like anything having to do with liberals and/or the environment, leads to a lot of sanctimonious hypocrisy. You know, those times where South Park comes to life.
Last night, Bill Nye the Marketing Major “Science” Guy threw out the ceremonial first pitch for Earth Day…
Heading down to DC to catch an #EarthDay flight on Air Force One tomorrow with the President. We’re going to #ActOnClimate.
— Bill Nye (@BillNye) April 21, 2015
I see. So let me get this straight. Fossil fuels are one of the many, many, many things the liberals claim causes man-made global climate warming change. Kind of the main thing. So Bill Nye, a “science” guy, in order to #actonclimate, is going to take a fossil fueled airplane to go to Washington DC, where he’s going to hop on another fossil fueled plane to lecture people about how to best take care of Mother Earth. Actually, I should probably fact check that. Did the White House waste taxpayer dollars converting AirForce One to run on vegetable oil? They waste most our tax dollars, so I suppose there’s a chance.
Never mind the fact that instead of loading up on fossil fuels and flying somewhere to launch a political attack (which is all POTUS does anyway), he could just step outside to the Rose Garden and speak there.
If Bill Nye wasn’t such a sanctimonious douche, he would see the hypocrisy; but at this point, I’m sure he gets a performance bonus for it.
Neil Degrasse Tyson, you’re up!
