one question to raise, typically if a company needs to secure a worksite for any reason they hire their own security company, you know, the typical rent-a-cop doing walk around duty. The question is, why are tax payers dollars being used to have police protect a for profit company asset?

The fact that police are guarding these sites raises concerns that these facilities need to be protected from prying eyes because something of a sensitive nature is happening that requires govt funded security, I.E. police/army type protections. This alone is evidence that this is more than simply a company protecting it’s assets.
