Even though they’ve been big reality stars for years with their popular TLC show 19 Kids and Counting, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have avoided TV appearances since the sexual-assault controversy erupted around their eldest son, Josh. But in a couple of days, Fox News will broadcast an exclusive interview with the pair conducted by Megyn Kelly.
According to a statement from the network: “The interview with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar will be shown during ‘The Kelly File’ at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday June 3. Additional portions of the interview, which will take place at the Duggar’s Arkansas home, will air during a one-hour special on Friday June 5 at 9 p.m. ET.”
The GOP presidential candidate who used to have a regular show on Fox News, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, recently spoke out in support of the embattled family that’s been taking all sorts of heat over the allegations concerning Josh’s behavior when he was a young teenager. As Western Journalism reported last month, Huckabee called the alleged misconduct “inexcusable,” but he still stood up for the Duggars.
“No one needs to defend Josh’s actions as a teenager,” Huckabee observed in a statement, “but the fact that he confessed his sins to those he harmed, sought help, and has gone forward to live a responsible and circumspect life as an adult is testament to his family’s authenticity and humility.”
In our exclusive on-camera interview with Mike Huckabee, the 2016 presidential hopeful talked about the Duggar family, their TV show, and how the left’s incessant attack on people of faith could be considered the “ultimate badge of honor.” You can see the Huckabee interview by clicking on the video above.
Though the network that has aired 19 Kids and Counting for years, TLC, has pulled the show from its lineup, there’s been no definite word on the fate of the popular program.
