As Western Journalism has previously reported, 2016 presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has already established himself as a formidable opponent among the current field of GOP hopefuls. He has enumerated several issues influencing his White House bid, including a desire to usher in a new period of prosperity in America.
According to a recent email to supporters, the former Arkansas governor recently welcomed a new reason to continue fighting for the nation’s future. His fifth grandchild, George Huggins Sanders, was born Monday – the third child for his daughter Sarah and son-in-law Bryan.

The new mother also happens to serve as her father’s campaign manager.
“It was a long labor for Sarah and a long wait for all of us,” he announced, “but the little guy was worth the wait. He is PERFECT, of course!”
The proud grandfather explained that each of his grandchildren motivate him to move forward in his campaign.
“George will give sister Scarlett and Huck a run for their money no doubt,” he predicted, “and will give their grandfather another reason to run for President.”
While his daughter/campaign manager enjoys some postnatal rest, Huckabee confirmed that his wife, Janet, “will be off the campaign trail for a bit helping out.”
As for the campaign itself, he noted that “Sarah probably becomes the first presidential campaign manager in America to have a baby at the launch of a campaign, but it wasn’t like it caught us off guard – we knew little George was coming.”
Others in his camp are picking up the slack while his newest grandchild gets the attention he needs.
