Breaking: Devastating Trey Gowdy News Just Announced By Congressman. No One Saw It Coming…
UPDATE: Trey Gowdy’s office claims he is not retiring.
According to a congressional colleague, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., will leave Congress at the end of this term.
Rep. John Fleming, R-La., said on Wednesday morning on C-Span that the South Carolinian wants to go back home. “God bless him for that,” Fleming said.
The legislator confirmed that Gowdy had told other Republicans of his decision, the Washington Examiner is reporting. Fleming stated that Gowdy “wants to finish his work on the Benghazi special committee. But he loves South Carolina and he loves his family, and he wants to go back and spend the rest of his life there.”
The Examiner reached out to Gowdy’s office for comment and was told that the congressman has not announced anything yet regarding his future plans.
“No, he is not announcing his retirement,” Gowdy spokeswoman Amanda Duvall told the Examiner. “He has not made any announcement on 2016, anything else is incorrect.”
Gowdy has earned a bulldog reputation on the Hill and in the nation for his relentless pursuit of the truth regarding the 2012 attacks on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Presidential candidate and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton is slated to speak before the House Select Committee on Benghazi, chaired by Gowdy, on Oct. 22.
CNN reports that Gowdy has declined to run for House majority leader. “I’ve never run for any leadership position, and I’m not going to start now,” Gowdy said. “Don’t know how I can be any more definitive.”
“The Benghazi Committee chairman’s comments came after Rep. Mia Love [R-Utah] said Gowdy would jump into the contest for majority leader if asked to do so,” according to CNN.

This claim is bunk, Senator from LA talking out of his hat. Gowdy’s office said untrue. Senator apologized to Gowdy for comments he made.
It was only a question of time for a man of his caliber. Where are the american patriots being bodyguard for Mr.Gowdy?
They got to him.
Wonder what blackmail and/or threats the powers that be made against Gowdy and his family. One of the few true patriots we have left in the Congress. I hope these rumors are not real and he stays. Maybe he’s finally tired of his efforts trying to clean up the corruption is getting nowhere…
There’s something strange about this man. He always talked tough but few, if any of his threats came to any action.
He’s threatened this person and that but nothing happened.
When people start voluntarily vacating cushy positions there is a reason. I’d like to equate it to something nice, like Boehners visit with his pope, or this cats longing for more time with his family…..but those things don’t often over ride the amount of money those cats are pulling down.
I have to believe it has to do with the U.N. 2030 agenda that was signed last Friday. I am already seeing the effects of it in my state as five state parks were closed to the public today. The Everglades national park will the totally inaccessible by airboat when the last of the ‘grand-fathered in’ air-boat users die, and Alaska has a very large preserve that only has seven lots left for homesteading….when those homesteaders and their children pass….no one will be allowed in that area ever again.
The U.N. 2030 agenda will take full control (and be fully implemented) of our natural resources, reduce our use of them according to their standards and that will have a massive affect on our way of life. All this in the hopes of ending poverty world wide. In other words….world wide communism.
I suspect that these men know that the battles they fight every day in congress are mute…..when the war is lost. Why do I say the war is lost? Because every where you look states are falling in line….into compliance…..and yet we citizens still refuse to acknowledge what is happening before our very eyes.
Next time some one complains about not being able to collect rain water, build a small holding pond on their personal property, has their entire family removed by force from their home because their living an off grid life style….remember U.N. Agenda 2030.

I listened to someone on an interview last night on TV (sean hannity) whose guest (a woman) was almost I thought going to bring this up, but maybe not, abot Trey Gowdy they spoke.
Nothing of this came up whatsoever! ? strange, so this is untrue? or he just doesn’t want it to be known at this time?
