Hillary Clinton took Donald Trump to task for not correcting a questioner at a New Hampshire town hall Thursday night who asserted that Barack Obama is a Muslim; but it appears she was fostering those same doubts about her rival during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary campaign.
As reported by Western Journalism, the man said to Trump, “We have a problem in this country. It’s called Muslims. We know our current president is one. You know he’s not even an American.”
Trump responded: “We need the question. This is the first question,” he said to laughs as he uncomfortably allowed the man to finish.
Hillary Clinton was quick to pounce, tweeting:
Donald Trump not denouncing false statements about POTUS & hateful rhetoric about Muslims is disturbing, & just plain wrong. Cut it out. -H

However, the Clinton campaign released a picture of Barack Obama in a turban during a 2006 visit to Kenya, apparently to encourage the rumors about his connections to Islam.
Don’t forget, the FBI purged Obama in a turban from its counter-terrorism training materials. http://t.co/LsrusoUZSo pic.twitter.com/aS04SlJ74m — WEX Watchdog Team (@WEXWatchdog) December 1, 2013
Obama’s campaign manager, David Plouffe, described the Clinton campaign’s release of the photo as “the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we’ve seen from either party in this election.”
The Clinton campaign denied being behind the circulation of the photo. “I just want to make it very clear that we were not aware of it, the campaign didn’t sanction it and don’t know anything about it,” Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson told reporters.
However, the candidate herself seemed reluctant to put the issue of Obama’s faith totally to rest in an interview with ABC News during the heated campaign. Steve Kroft pressed the candidate concerning the matter.
STEVE KROFT: You don’t believe that Senator Obama’s a Muslim?
HILLARY CLINTON: Of course not. I mean that’s, you know, that, there is no basis for that. You know, I take him on the basis of what he says, and, you know, there isn’t any reason to doubt that.
KROFT: You said you take Sen. Obama at his word that he’s not a Muslim…
CLINTON: Right, right..
KROFT: …you don’t believe that he’s a Muslim.
CLINTON: No! No! Why would I? There’s nothing to base that on. As far as I know…

One would think that if there was no truth to the matter- Barry would not get upset and nobody else would either. When people speak the truth and their is much evidence to support those claims- that is when people get upset and defensive.
