As the world reels from the savage slaughter of innocent lives in Paris, Black Lives Matter protesters at the University of Missouri are whining that the media spotlight no longer shines exclusively upon them.
These examples from Saturday tweets illustrate the mindset of those who have established “free speech zones” that allow only their speech and are irate that any event is more important than their obsession with themselves.
“Racist white people kill me,” tweeted Melanin Monroe. “You want everyone to have sympathy for YOUR tragedy, but you have none for ours.”
“Interesting how the news reports are covering the Paris terrorist attack but said nothing about the terrorist attack at #Mizzou,” tweeted Kyra D. Hardy, referencing a claim of a KKK attack that was proven to be a hoax.
” Not taking away from Paris we love yall but we have terrorist in USA Called KKK #Mizzou. Gov got work to do,” tweeted Peachs&Honey.
“Not to take away from Paris at all but just how they’re getting news coverage & the worlds support, we deserve it too. #Mizzou,” tweeted Dar & Donnie.
The students’ ability to denigrate a major world crisis grated on the nerves of many.
“How small these people are that they equate their petty complaints to the Paris attacks. Life is not easy all the time. They live in a college cocoon that allows them to whimper, whine and make demands. Time to grow up kids. You are not owed anything,” commented James Hegarty.
“Sorry children, your temper tantrum does not compare to over 160 innocent people being slaughtered in one day. Not even close,” wrote kady 772.
