Coffee giant Starbucks is again issuing its redhttp://www.breitbart.com/london/2015/11/05/mps-christian-groups-slam-starbucks-scrooges-over-red-cups/ colored cups to denote the start of the holiday season, but coffee fans are noticing that something is missing this year. It appears that Starbucks has done away with its usual decorations on the cups to mark the holidays. No Christmas decorations of any kind appear on this year’s cups. The only decoration of the stark red cups is the Starbucks logo.
For years Starbucks has been changing the color of its cups from its usual white to a festive red to denote the arrival of the Christmas season. But in the past the cups also featured holiday decorations. Snowmen, Santa Claus, snowflakes, tree ornaments, carolers, all design meant to evoke the holiday spirit were de rigueur in all the coffee chain’s previous holiday cups. But not this year.
This year, with its debut of the cups in Britain, Starbucks has eliminated all decorations and graphics to denote the season and revealed that its 2015 holiday cup is simply a plain red affair.

As Brietbart London reports, Starbucks is doing away with Christmas decorations to celebrate that Starbucks is a “sanctuary during the holidays.”
“Starbucks has become a place of sanctuary during the holidays. We’re embracing the simplicity and the quietness of it. It’s [a] more open way to usher in the holiday,” the company said in a statement.
Breitbart talked to Simon Calvert of the Christian Institute who criticized the new cups. “What is it about Christmas that Starbucks are afraid of celebrating? Haven’t they heard it’s the most wonderful time of the year, and the season of good will to ALL men? They should get involved and stop being scrooges,” he said.
The cups outraged Breitbart’s Raheem Kassam who said the new cup was no less an act of “Christian cultural cleansing.”
Kaseem notes that the cups are telling customers that “this time of the year is no longer about Christmas.”
This shouldn’t be too surprising, though. Starbucks is the same company whose CEO told shareholders that if they support traditional marriage they should get out of his company and invest elsewhere. It’s the same company that once told a Philly police officer that they didn’t want him in their store–and the same company that closed its doors to legal gun owners.
Sanctuary my Ass. Bend over a little further, Starbucks for the Psychopaths who tell you what to do and when to do it. I’m never going to Starbucks again. BOYCOTT STARBUCKS! LEAVE OUR CHRISTMAS ALONE!
