I find the rainbow flag to be a symbol of division and hostility against God’s creative purpose and spiritual restoration. However, people have a right to wave it as proudly as they like. I will continue to speak my peace in love and move on. Those on the other side should try and do the same.
It is the very fragile who cannot stand in the face of dissent and scrutiny. Know who you are, or who you should be, and live and die for it. If we are secure in our faith, and what defines us, then we will pay little mind to the ignorant and their vain pursuits.
The LGBT rainbow flag offends me because it represents open rebellion against God. But in a free society, we must tolerate a certain level of dissent. Unfortunately, that is exactly what the ‘regressives’ simply cannot tolerate.
Personally, I don’t care if people walk around with satanic pentagrams on their T-shirt. Does it mean they worship Satan? Maybe, but ultimately that is between them and their Maker.
The progressives have turned ‘hate’ into a political buzzsaw. They just love to play the hate card. It’s a lazy and surefire recipe for success. If you can’t beat your opponent with sound proposals and common sense solutions, smear campaigns can prove to be an effective alternative.
I would never advocate capitulation. Only the lukewarm capitulate. The true believers will go down fighting, even when they are placed at a major informational disadvantage.
My point is that this is all one big smokescreen. We are living in a day of regressive groupthink run amok. It’s all contrived. Radical revolutionaries seek justification to unleash their reign of transformative destruction.
Miley Cyrus is the poster child for a ‘do what thou wilt’ progressive culture in which calling out immorality is more offensive than engaging in it.
Regardless, truth is not subjective. The sanctified Christian is most consistent and should continue to stand tall and speak loud and proud; for what’s good for us is what’s good for our neighbor. It is God-breathed.
Our sin and depravities are universal. We need to give each other a break, but nobody gets a pass. In our natural carnal state, nobody is special, and no one is privileged. No amount of affirmative action or cultural reparation could ever make things right.
We’ve been scattered. We no longer speak the same language. There is simply too much baggage and bad blood. We cannot even see past the color of our own skin.
We are all a ‘massa peccati.’ Why should ‘gays’ be exempt?
Without the Christian standard of morality, there would be no golden rule. Sin is a deadly epidemic, the demonic source of a multitude of atrocities from infanticide to incest. The emotional and spiritual effects on society are traumatic.
Not all realities are good realities. JESUS has come so that we may overcome and transcend the carnal mire we so often find ourselves in.
We are all spiritually disenfranchised and will remain perpetually divided. Thankfully, all hope is not lost.
Redemption (and restoration) is colorblind, gender-neutral, and economically diverse. Find your place at the throne of grace and the table of mercy. Only then will true peace and justice be known!
