Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush has tried to reinvigorate a struggling campaign in recent days, primarily by positioning himself as a policy candidate rather than “a soundbite guy.”
Donald Trump, the unconventional front-runner who often trades intraparty barbs with Bush, responded by proving how effective soundbites can be in the age of social media. Asked to provide his best impression of Jeb Bush, Trump shot back with a quote that was viewed roughly 30,000 times within the first six hours of its upload to Vine by C-SPAN.
“My Jeb impression? Nah, I don’t want to do that,” he said. “I don’t like showing a person sleeping at a podium.”

Trump, who has consistently criticized Bush as a “low-energy” candidate, received some praise for landing a jab against his already damaged rival.
“Wow,” one Mashable reader wrote. “That was the diss [sic] of all disses – he nuked Jeb with that comment.”
Not all of the feedback was positive, though.
One Twitter critic wrote that Trump “does a good impression of a president, too, but that doesn’t mean he’ll actually be one.”
C-SPAN also received some social media advice regarding some future Vine videos it might consider sharing.
@cspan Can you run a similar Vine of Hillary giggling and smiling when questioned about 4 dead Americans in Benghazi? — Lepkele (@lepkele) November 3, 2015
