Donald Trump has now joined ISIS, the KKK and other individuals and groups that the organization Anonymous has targeted.
Trump announced on Monday that he is proposing a temporary ban on Muslims entering the United States until officials in Washington can figure out “what the hell is going on.” That statement from Trump has apparently angered Anonymous, which issued a threat to Trump in a new video.
The video states:
Greeting citizens of the world. We are Anonymous. Donald Trump, it has come to our attention that you want to ban all Muslims to enter the United States. This policy is going to have a huge impact. This is what ISIS wants. The more Muslims feel upset, the more ISIS feels that they can recruit them. The more the United States appears to be targeting Muslims, not just radical Muslims, you can be sure that ISIS will be putting that on their social media campaign. Donald Trump, think twice before you speak anything. You have been warned, Mr. Donald Trump. We are Anonymous. We are legion. We do not forgive. Expect us.
And with that, the group began their attack against Trump in the bilateral, multi-front pile-on of Republicans, Democrats, and now computer hackers.
The verbal attack was followed by an attack on the Trump Towers NY website, which was reportedly shut down for several hours. And Trump has not yet responded to the attacks from Anonymous.
The attack on Trump seems to contradict Anonymous’ own declaration of war on ISIS. It appears as though Anonymous has enough time on its hands to take a break from its cyberwar against ISIS in order to attack a presidential candidate who has declared that if elected president, he would “bomb the s–t” out of ISIS.
The video was posted by YouTube user “Anonymous Operations,” but that user is apparently not related to the “Anonymous Official” YouTube channel. On the Anonymous Official YouTube channel, no reference to Donald Trump is made, which may lead some to question and investigate the authenticity of the person or persons behind the creation of the video attacking Trump.
