Asteroid will Fly By Earth at 0.7 times the Distance to the Moon Asteroid 2017 BX was first observed by Pan-STARRS 1, Haleakala on 2017-01-20.

It will fly by Earth safely on 2017-01-25 at 04:55 UTC at 0.7 times the distance to the Moon, at a speed (relative to the Earth) of 7.5 km/s. It is estimated to be 7 – 14 meters in size.  0.7 LD = 51,492 miles (82,869 km)
