Flipboard is getting personal with its latest update.
The news aggregation service has launched ‘Smart Magazines’ to give users the ability to create separate feeds for different interests.
Smart Magazines gets its inspiration from the topics and sources a person follows on Flipboard, creating specific publications based on a reader’ interests. These magazines, which will be updated regularly, can be customized by a user selecting their preferences in various interest categories.
“The new Flipboard is all about helping people discover great stories curated by people who share a passion, including editors, influencers and fellow enthusiasts,” Flipboard CEO Mike McCue said. “Smart Magazines represent a major breakthrough in how content can be personalized, curated and organized by passion, enabling us to take a new and important step toward our vision of modernizing the magazine experience for a mobile, social world.”
