“It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye”

Well, I’m sure
most of the CBC readers and bloggers have heard…..CBC will be ‘shutting it down’
come April [sigh]. I must say, when I
received the e-mail, I was a little put out.
I made the whole announcement about me……."Now, what am I going to
do?" "No more reasons to stay up late at
night reading the blogs." "No pressure
in trying to meet my blog submission deadline" (which failed sometimes), and
the fact that CBC had reopened my love of writing which had been closed and
buried deep inside of me for over fifteen years…..How could they!! Well, Loretta…..it ain’t about you!! Say what??? (you can stop laughing now). For me, what Christian Bloggers Café was
really about, was a team of gifted, God fearing individuals who came to
together to roll out an awesome website whereby like-minded people could share
conversations, stories and thoughts.
Through this medium, I know people who have visited the site have come
away from it feeling empowered, encouraged, inspired, healed, set free and
feeling whole again…..east any
CBC woke up an
energy in me that I thought could never be revived again…writing! It also offered solace during some difficult
times in my life. CBC allowed me to
express my thoughts and feelings through writing without condemnation. During those dark times when I couldn’t find
the words to write, and I was held by a deadline, they understood (at least I
think they did), they never said a mumbling word. That kind of silent understanding means more
to me than they will ever know. So,
since coming to terms that the closing of the site is not at all about me, I am
honored to have been a part of CBC’s history.
I personally know each of the administrators, and they are awesome
individuals in their own right. Don’t
count them out….because I just believe that God is pouring into each of them
awesome projects that will be revealed in its time.
I have had some
good laughs at some of the visitors to the site. I have cried reading some of the blogs, I
have been encouraged by some, and yes….set free by others. Goodbye sounds so permanent, so how about
until the next time!! Thank you for the
opportunity CBC. May God richly bless
each of you in your future endeavors.
Now…..let me find
somewhere to submit all these stacked up blogs….LOL!
