With Questions Over His Guilt, Court Gives Richard Glossip Two More Weeks To Live. Roughly three hours before he was to be strapped to the gurney inside Oklahoma’s execution chamber, Richard Glossip received word that the state would not be killing him today after all.

 

Across the South, Many Jails Are Illegal Debtors’ Prisons. Local courts across the South and the rest of the country are prioritizing revenue over public safety and operating as modern-day debtors’ prisons. These courts are illegally locking up people up when they fail to pay fines and fees that they cannot afford.
