We’ve had a setback in Tennessee in our effort to reverse the impact of the unconstitutional Supreme Court Obergefell homosexual marriage opinion. But we are far from finished! We need your help and together we will make a difference.
A subcommittee in the Tennessee House voted 4-1 NOT to move the nullification bill to the floor of the House for a vote. Nullification is the remedy the Founders gave the States to check the unconstitutional actions of the Federal Government.
Sadly, one misguided pro-family group led the fight against the bill to nullify the Obergefell opinion. They argued the need to fight the opinion in the courts. Those would be the same out-of-control courts that gave us this unconstitutional opinion to begin with.
By the way, the homosexual activists present in the hearings LOVED the proposal of the pro-family group. It’s a pretty good rule of thumb that when your sworn enemies love your proposal there is something VERY wrong with it. Four injudicious politicians took the bait.
So what can we do?
There is a way to bring a bill to the floor of the Tennessee House that bypasses the committee process. It takes 66 members of the House to demand a vote and then it can be voted on without committee approval. Fortunately, there is strong bipartisan support for the bill to nullify Obergefell.
ACTION:
Click here to contact Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam. He is a conservative and supports the biblical definition of marriage. Urge him to use his considerable influence to rally the 66 needed votes. Or call (615) 741-2001.
