(Before It's News)
There is a welcome before you. (Fáilte romhat isteach)
There is a welcome before you
One that contains heaven’s scent
A carpet of goods wishes, authentically true
A word of encouragement, when God’s blessing is sent
A hug, an embrace, a smile on each kindly face
Warm words spoken, each one pleasantly meant
A house becomes a home, love transforms an empty place
A stranger becomes a friend, met by a Christ centred accent.

Coming to a new parish has been an experience of welcome and warmth (despite today’s snow!) The above is a poem that expresses the welcome that I feel embraced by.
