Discovering goodness, a prelude to holiness
Embracing kindness, finding time to confess
Lent seeks the soul, invites this divine guest
Making room in the silent heart so truly blest
A purple mood covers the penitential body
By works of charity, faith’s spirit to embody
Putting the flesh upon fasting’s spiritual bones
Prayerfully becoming the Church’s living stones.
