Will God’s Saints spend eternity dwelling in ‘Mansions’ in heaven? NOPE

A house inside of  “My Father’s house” ?   God’s Saints are to live in houses (mansions) “in side”  of God’s house in heaven ?   R e a l l y  ????

Was Jesus Christ stating in John 14:  2 — God’s Very Elect are going to heaven to live in big expensive houses i.e Mansions?  Can that “dogma’ be proven?

The reward of God’s saints is to live in mansions (enclosed boxes) in heaven –that’s- “IT” -? That’s what we have to look forward to?

• Will the “mansions” have windows, doors and many rooms??
• Will it be like the suburbs with streets and cul-de-sacs’s  ?
• What are we to DO while living in a big enclosed box ??
• Will the mansions have bedrooms and baths?
• Does a spirit even need a bedroom and a bath?
• Are the Saint to help God ‘maintain’ the 3^rd Heaven?
• Does God even need our HELP in heaven?
• Are we to forget all the problems “we” caused here on earth, mankind has blown up, polluted and destroyed this earth. So will we do the same to heaven ?
• What would or could BE the eternal spiritual purpose of a mansion inside of a house God lives in ?
• Can that concept be found elsewhere in God’s WORD?

The above are only a very few of the questions created by the foolish and earthly/fleshly “dogma” of going to the third heaven and living in houses inside of God’s house.

Here are the Words of Jesus Christ as recorded by John:

John 14: 2- 3

2  In my Father’s house are many mansions:   if [it were] not [so],    I would have told you. — I go to prepare a place for you “

Short Definition: lodging, dwelling-place, room
Definition: lodging, dwelling-place, room, abode, mansion.

The translators chose this seldom used word for a reason, to convey their own desires.

23  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will –- come — unto him, and make our “abode” (#3438)  with him.

Does the word “abode” as used in verse 23 give you the impression you will be living in mansions in heaven?  NOPE !

The translators didn’t use the word mansions in verse 23 ?   WHY ??

Verse 23 states Christ and His Father will come and make – THEIR –  ABODE WITH US, They are to ABODE or MANSION or lodge with each one of US ?

Please — think about this statement, Jesus Christ and His Father will come to US!   Christ IS NOT STATING “THEY” WILL TAKE– “US” – TO THEM– BUT They will abode with us — NOT US with THEM!   Jesus Christ is coming to earth to ABODE with US!

Paul in Romans gives us more detail on what will ABODE with called out ones.

Romans 8

9  But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

10  And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness.

11  But if the Spirit of  “him’  that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth  in you.

After baptism, by which we are symbolically joining Christ in His death, burial and resurrection  we can then receive by the laying on of Hands that ONE SPIRIT of — “HIM”—  i.e the FATHER.

It is by that ONE SPIRIT of God the Father  that raise our Savior from death — put in a baptized person by the laying on of hands — that Jesus the Christ and His Father dwell or abode with and in the “converted” Holy ones of God.

The false and illogical hope of dwelling in mansions in heaven is fading away as we logically study and break down into fine detail the WORD of God.

Here are words used in the New Testament meaning house or home:  #3614, #3624 and #3617 look them up.  Our word ‘mansion’ carries the meaning of a big beautiful expensive and luxurious home but #3438 does not give that meaning, “a staying or lodging or abode” does not at all imply a luxurious expensive home.

For any flesh and blood human to dwell in the third heaven — which was never promised, they must first become “Spirit”, an incorruptible spirit i.e. not flesh and blood which IS CORRUPTIBLE. 

Where does it state a  Spirit  needs or requires a place to dwell. Do angels, which ARE immortal Spirit, dwell in homes?? Do they go ‘home’ after work?

God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ ARE Spirit and inhabit the third heaven, they do not live in heaven – They  FILL  IT.  

Why would God The Father or Jesus Christ have need of walls or roofs?  Walls and roofs are for shelter from the elements and from danger and the Father and the Son are in no danger from the elements or anything or anyone.  

Is this scripture saying God’s house is so big that He will make you a huge mansion inside of His??  Many actually have blindly accepted that as a fact!

If the Saints are to be resurrected to immortal Spirit that can travel at the speed of thought and can walk through solid rock walls — do you really want to be limited to living within 4 walls covered by a roof?  Really??  If you are able to walk through solid rock I must logically conclude there is no need for doors or windows or walls.

Do you believe you will walk to your bedroom and take a nap after a nice shower in your bathroom?  Spirit has no need of a bedroom, a bath or naps.

Just a quick thought:  Adam and Eve when they dwelled in the Garden of Eden — did they live in a house or within the entire Garden? The earth was perfection; they needed no shelter from the elements or from animals as they lived in perfect safety and perfect harmony with the earth and the animals.

In God’s WORD the term the “House of Israel” or the House of Judah, denotes not a dwelling place, but a family grown large even into a large nation.  The prophecies found through out the WORD of God states the House of Israel, but not the House of Judah i.e. the Jews, will grow to be in numbers as the sand of the sea, as the stars in heaven, as the dust of earth, that’s,  at the very least, 100’s of millions.

Does the term – “house”, – as it is used in the Bible, only refer to a dwelling i.e a structure or a tent ?

The term “House” denotes a large number of people that all look to one man as their progenitor.

Abraham is the progenitor of all 12 Tribes of Israel and Jesus Christ as well. After Solomon God divide the 12 Tribes into two nations, the HOUSE of Israel and the HOUSE of Judah.  

In God the Father’s Family  (HOUSE)  are many “places”, “abodes”, “rooms’ or  “positions’  for His billions of Sons that are be born of His Spirit,  from HIS HOLY SEED and welcomed into HIS Family i.e. “The ‘House of God” or the Household of God.

Why do you suppose GOD reveals HIMSELF as “THE  FATHER” and that we are to be born again for the 2^nd time as HIS SON and as SPIRIT – is that just a figure of speech or is God the Father actually reproducing  HIS OWN KIND ?? Genesis 1: 26   And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

In Verse 2, is Christ speaking about the Father’s dwelling place i.e. a structure or God’s Family?

In Strong’s the word   “Place”   is # 5117 “topos” :

topos:   a place

Why did Christ change to a different word, why not stick with the first word;  ‘I am going to build you a big luxurious house’?   Why was “place” used instead of mansions? 

According to Strong’s, the word Christ used in verse 2 changes the whole picture:  “I go to prepare a seat, an opportunity for you”.

‘Opportunity’ and ‘mansion’ do not convey the same meaning.

As stated above, a Spirit entity has absolutely no need for the limitations or different uses created by a shelter, by a home.  Why would you LIMIT God to dwelling in a single box no matter how large it may be??   So the words  “a seat or opportunity” must be studied further.

Christ states He is returning to heaven to prepare — a PLACE for YOU! —  Please notice Christ uses a different word to describe what is being prepared for the Saints of God and it is not a house!

3  And if I go and prepare — a place  – for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.

In this statement by Jesus Christ, Christ is plainly stating, “I will come again”, and  “receive you”, it must be understood, YOU meaning the Saints of GOD:

“I will come again,” Does this not state Jesus is to return to earth and not us to heaven???

“ YOU”  The Saints: those which are to be “born again” at the First Resurrection as immortal Spirit i.e. born with the same Spirit incorruptible body as Jesus Christ. See Phil 3: 21.

Note:

ALL flesh is born the first time “of”  water, a new born human child is 78% water and comes from a womb filled with water and the second time as Spirit – that which is born of the flesh – “IS”  FLESH and that which is born “of” the Spirit – “IS”  SPIRIT!

And those that believe they are already “born again” must reject these clear words of Jesus Christ –as they are yet flesh and blood. Those given God’s Spirit by the laying on of hands have been given the ‘down payment’ on eternal life i.e. a small measure of God’s Spirit.

The word “come” means leaving one spot and coming (moving) or going to another. Christ is coming from heaven — Please, where or how does this say He will return back to heaven? No rapture to heaven is spoken of or eluted to here or anywhere in the Word of God.

Then, He will “receive you unto Myself”, meaning, “You will Be where I AM”, “that where – “I am” — there ye may  — “BE” — also”

Christ is not stating where He will be or even where He may be going, Christ is making it clear —– where ever He — IS, – “you may be also”.  Show us how heaven is “where HE will BE”.  Where is that statement found in these scriptures?

Should Christ not be talking about giving you the keys to your big mansion?  Most just assume or hope He means heaven as  not one clear statement to that effect can be found in all of the Word of God, in fact it states “the Saints will inherit the earth”.

The Bible states over and over Christ is coming to earth with all Power and Authority to rule and the Saints of God will be kings and lords ruling with Christ on HIS THRONE.

In scripture after scripture, Jesus Christ is returning to earth as King of king and Lord of lords, when Christ returns to earth as King of The Government of God, it can be stated with all confidence:  the Saints will also be on earth sitting on thrones as kings, ruling from thrones given them by Jesus Christ. 

It can be factually stated a King, sitting on a throne (a seat) has a POSITION, a PLACE of great of authority.

That is the OPPORTUNITY Jesus Christ is offering to those  HIS  FATHER calls to HIM.

Remember in the Lord’s Prayer – “Thy Kingdom Come”.  What is Christ teaching us ?  That We are to ask  for, watch for and earnestly desire  “ God’s government to return to earth — to rule the entire earth forever” in righteousness.

In Matthew 20: 20, 21, the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Christ asking  Him to give her two sons — positions of authority, i.e. mansions — one on the right hand and one on the left of Christ’s Throne when He returns as KING.

If the right hand and the left hand of a throne –are not— positions of authority what is?  Does not Christ stand right now on the right hand of the Throne of God the Father?  

This mother, as well all the disciples, expected Christ to restore the Kingdom (government) at that very time. They all knew He was stating a real government with Christ as its KING was coming that would rule the Nation of Israel (all 12 Tribes) as in the days of King David.

In Revelation 5: 9, 10, John is repeating what Christ revealed to him; Christ has redeemed us out from every kindred and tongue and people and nation and — is making us unto our God: kings and priest and we shall reign on earth.

9 “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;”

10 “And hast made us unto our God, kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

This is a very simple and clear statement that cannot be twisted:  those that Christ redeemed with His payment, His blood sacrifice for their sins and endures until the end, (The end of their lives or until He returns which ever comes first) will be given — positions of authority as Kings and Priests and They shall reign on earth. Also read Revelation 3: 21. Please note Christ does not mention they will live in mansions.

Let’s see who else will have positions of authority i.e. “seats” in the Government of God ruled by Jesus Christ on this earth.

Ezekiel 37: 24, Ezekiel is stating at the time of the rule of Jesus Christ (The Thousand Year Reign), Christ will be the One Shepherd and David shall be king over all 12 tribes:  So David’s reward is the Position of authority as King over the Whole House of Jacob i.e. all 12 Tribes.

David, born again as Spirit in the first resurrection, will rule the remnant of all those physical human beings of the 12 Tribes  –here on Earth! David’s position of authority is that of KING over the House of Israel forever.

In Matthew 19: 27, 28, Jesus Christ promised the twelve Apostles that each would sit upon thrones, Seats,  judging (ruling) the 12 Tribes of Israel. Christ just gave the Apostles — positions of authority –  ruling each of the 12 Tribes of Israel as kings under King David.

Would you rather have a house or a throne??

The Government of God is a pyramid, which rules from the top down; the Cap Stone is the very top and  IS  Jesus Christ.  Remember Moses’ father in law recommended a pyramid structure of government with Moses representing Christ ruling from the top down.   Moses used the Torah to judge the 12 tribes as will david the apostles and of course Jesus Christ our soon coming KING.

The positions of authority as kings and lords and priests Christ has promised God’s Saints are the “rewards” for their works.  The more one produces in good works and the more fruit of God’s spirit one bring forth the higher the position one is given i.e. the 12 Apostles are to be kings ruling the 12 tribes and David over the 12 tribes;  those positions are great rewards for their great works.

Salvation i.e. eternal life is absolutely a free and a totally non-earnable gift,

that is what is meant by the term Grace which also means Kindness, but we are to be rewarded for our works.

When Christ RETURNS He is bringing our Rewards with HIM.

Study Christ’s parable of the pounds and the talents, the more His servants produced the more they were given. Remember Christ statement:

 “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: “

The words spoken by our Lord and Master Jesus Christ as recorded by Luke should be deeply studied,  these words confirm all that is written above.

Luke 12

41Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?

42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom [his] lord shall make ruler over his household, to give [them their] portion of meat in due season?

43  Blessed [is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

44  Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

45  But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

46  The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for [him], and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

47  And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not [himself], neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many [stripes].

48  But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few [stripes]. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Do you really want to be “limited’ to a house i.e. a box and one location or would you rather serve others under Jesus Christ?

Christ came to serve not to be served and that is what we as kings and lords will be doing in the Kingdom?
