Smells like propane? That could be a broken main. I Dont think propane smells that way naturally. Pretty sure it’s an additive to alert you to a leak. In other words, it’s odorless in it’s natural state.
Propane isn’t distributed in “mains” – it is delivered by truck. But the odorant – the “rotten egg” smell, is produced by sulfur compounds. Perhaps the videographer was smelling something of volcanic origin?
