$20K reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest
Kansas City, KS – The U.S. Marshals and the State of Kansas are seeking the public’s help in locating Bryan Levi Bridges, one of Kansas’ most wanted fugitives. Bridges, 20, is wanted for first-degree murder, aggravated burglary, and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery during a home invasion where a victim was killed.
On Oct. 9, 2014, Bridges and his associates allegedly broke into a home in Pittsburg, Kansas, with the intent to burglarize it. The crime quickly escalated to murder when Bridges and his coconspirators were surprised by the home owners, and resident Taylor Thomas was shot and killed. Bridges is believed to have pulled the trigger. While his associates were arrested, Bridges remains on the run.
“Bryan Bridges is a dangerous fugitive and federal, state, and local law enforcement officers have made apprehending this fugitive a priority” said U.S. Marshal Ronald Miller for the District of Kansas. “Our fugitive task forces will work together to apprehend this dangerous fugitive and make sure that he is held accountable in our criminal justice system.”
Authorities believe Bridges may have fled Kansas after the crime. He may have personal ties in Mexico, Denver, Colorado, and Iowa, but his whereabouts are currently unknown.
The fugitive, who also uses the alias El Chinito, is a 5-foot-7 Laotian/Caucasian male, but he may be claiming Hispanic descent. He weighs 170 pounds and has black hair, brown eyes and a scar next to his right eye.
“Because of the nature of this crime, Bridges should be considered armed and dangerous,” said Miller.
A reward of up to $20,000 is being offered for information leading directly to Bridges’ arrest. Anyone with information is urged to contact the nearest U.S. Marshals office or the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 1-800-336-0102, or email: [email protected].
