THE DIRT: DIY Butterfly Bath and Feeder

I’ve been so inspired by all the bee and butterfly baths I’ve seen on Pinterest I decided to make one for my garden. These are so simple to put together and you may already have everything you need on hand.
All you need is a large saucer or even a plate will do. Add few pebbles and some water. You want to make sure that the pebbles are raised above the water so that the butterflies have a place to land while they get a drink.
I elevated my butterfly bath on a pot and added a Lemon Balm plant to try to attract the butterflies. Plus, I can enjoy the Lemon Balm too.
I waited patiently for the swarms of butterflies to arrive but it was getting late in the day and not one butterfly stopped by for a drink.
The next day, I added some cut citrus to attract them.
