saint leonard, montreal, QC - I fell asleep in my basement while studying for my midterm. I was woken up by a loud bang, the lights went out, my cat jumped, and the floor and the walls were shaking. My very first thought: a plane crashed nearby/flew insanely low. I didn't move, unable to process what I was hearing and feeling. When the lights came on, my boyfriend text me that it was an earthquake and my family ran downstairs slightly panicked. Not a great way to wake up!
