A Rising Republican Star — Blake Guinn
Blake Guinn is a 19 year old recent high school graduate and is certainly a rising star that we will hear about for some time. He will enroll at Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham where he will major in Biblical Studies and Theology. Blake is a native of Gardendale where he is an active member of Gardendale First Baptist Church.
Blake graduated from Gardendale High School in the spring with an Advanced Academic Diploma. During high school Blake served as president of the student body, was secretary of the National Honor Society and was the vice-president of the Gardendale Junior City Council.
Blake takes his politics seriously and is currently running for City Councilman in Gardendale, a city in Jefferson County, against a longtime incumbent.
Blake recently finished an internship with the Alabama Republican Party while still attending high school. He is also in the process of helping ALGOP set up Teenage Republican clubs across the state to lay a strong foundation for the future of our party. He believes it is crucial for young people to be informed and involved in the political process and to fight for America! Blake feels that it is important to convey this to young people while in high school, before they are sent off to college, a liberal breeding ground.
Blake has dedicated himself to helping elect people that promote the values of the Republican Party. He has been involved in politics all of his life, and worked in various campaigns. His grandfather, a Korean War veteran, taught him the values and principles of small government that Republicans believe in. Blake is involved with the North Jefferson Republican Club and an Associate Member of the Jefferson County Republican Executive Committee. Don’t be surprised if we are referring to Blake as Councilman Guinn after the election next week.
