Citing the lack of voter information available for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) groups in their native language, community leaders have banded together to release the first ever joint California voter guide for the November 6 elections.
“There are very important propositions on the ballot this year – propositions that will have long-term impact on everyone in our communities – and we want to ensure that Asian American and Pacific Islander voters are informed when they submit their ballots,” said APALC President and Executive Director Stewart Kwoh.
As the fastest growing group in the state and with the General Election only a few days away, the Asian American community in California will have a profound effect on the outcomes of this presidential race and more so on the state ballot measures in this election, said officials during a press conference held at APALC on Tuesday.
